1. Frigiliana
Considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, this small locality is near the Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park. We recommend walking through the winding streets and passages of the historic old town, where you can appreciate its Arabic-origin latticework, which has been kept intact.
2. Mijas
Located in the Mijas mountain range, the town of Mijas has a special charm. Its well cared for streets with sea views are very characteristic with their white façades and floral decorations, offering a great number of very beautiful Andalusian-style spots.
3. Casares
This small town with spectacular views of the old Casares fortress, the Serranía de Ronda and the Bay of Gibraltar is a typical southern Andalusian town. Its white façades, whitewashed houses and narrow, sloping streets make Casares a picturesque place that is full of history.
4. Nerja
Also known as the town where the TV series Verano Azul was filmed, Nerja is one of the most stunning coastal towns in Malaga. Without doubt a worthwhile stop if you want a day by the sea, with beaches, cliffs, and the popular Nerja Caves, which were granted Historic-Artistic Heritage status in 1961.
5. Yunquera
This extremely beautiful town is located within the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park. Dating back to Roman times, it boasts numerous monuments of particular interest among which we would highlight the seventeenth-century Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación church, the Torre Vigía watchtower from the beginning of the nineteenth century, declared a Place of Cultural Interest and the nineteenth-century Cruz del Pobre hermitage.
